I was trying to mic a grand piano for a church meeting hall in a way that was secure, yet giving a accurate response.
I mounted this microphone on a flat plate bolted to the frame inside the piano and was extremely satisfied with with the outcome. No physical noise transmission yet a clear natural sound - many did not even realise it was amplified.
