What is a D-Tap connector?


A D-Tap is a 2-pin small, flat, rectangular DC power connector. Globalmediapro's V-Mount and Gold Mount batteries are equipped with a D-Tap, which serves as both an input for charging purposes and an output that enables users to power accessories.

D-Tap connectors are popular due to their durability and the wide availability of D-Tap compatible accessories in the market.

The following Globalmediapro batteries are equipped with a D-Tap connector:

  • V-Mount batteries
  • V-Mount batteries for RED cameras
  • Gold Mount batteries
  • DCU batteries
